Soccer Ball

It was the final soccer game of the season for Gene and Jon so Lana and I took the kids to "watch" the "action".  And by "watch" I mean run around like crazy and by "action" I mean when they almost scored that one time.  Just kidding, you guys did great!

Kerhonkson, NY

If you told me a few years ago that I will one day vacation in Kerhonkson, I would have probably laughed in your face.  But alas, we rented a house, invited the families, packed our bags and drove up to the Catskills to BBQ, hike and enjoy nature. It was a very busy week! #needavacation

2 and 4 Year Check-Ups

I drew the short stick this time around and had to take the girls to their two and four year check-ups.  They both needed shots so I was a bit nervous about how it would go.  Funny enough, Violet was very brave and didn't make a peep while Ivy didn't even notice.  Below are the paper Dr. Seuss gowns the girls were given to wear, which they had on for about 3 seconds before ripping them to shreds like wild beasts.  I don't retain much from these appointments but I do recall that Ivy is in the 8th percentile for weight and Violet is in the whopping 18th. Conveniently for everyone there is a bakery directly next door that sells disgusting neon colored, sugar filled ice "treats".  I somehow managed to convince the girls that the ices were actually a form of toxic waste, laced with sugar so they begrudgingly gave them up about half way through.

Ivy is 2!

Our sweet little Ivy Kat is 2!  Where did the time go? I have to remember to enjoy these moments- two is the BEST age.  She's still wants to cuddle and kiss her mama and she can (for the most part) express herself and tell me her wants and needs.  It's a simple time that will soon be replaced by whining, negotiating, feet stomping and lots of "i don't care".  Ivy, you're my accident prone, food loving, funny girl and I wish you a very, very happy birthday.
