Violet is 2!!!

I can't believe it!  How time flies!  Wasn't it just yesterday that I was being torn to shreds at Lenox Hill hospital by a tiny little 7 lb infant?  Didn't we JUST celebrate her 1st Birthday?  Why is it all happening so fast?

This Saturday was Violet's 2nd Birthday and we spent the whole weekend doing fun things around NYC.  Saturday we went to The Gazillion Bubble Show, followed by play time in our building's courtyard where we practiced blowing bubbles of our very own.  In the evening, we had some pizza and tasty chocolate/strawberry/banana cake.  Violet even got a fancy manicure from papa Gene.

On Sunday we headed over to the New York Aquarium where we saw penguins, turtles, sharks, walruses, sea lions and tons of other sea creatures.  Violet had french fries for lunch and some dippin' dots for dessert.  Later in the day, the three of us went to the park and spent some quality time as a family. Next weekend we're continuing the celebration with the entire family at Casa Di Campagna.
